New Year's Resolutions

Happy New Year to you! I am so happy to see 2008 and I had a fabulous time ushering it in :o)
As is customary, the majority of the world tends to create a list of New Year's Resolutions also known as random-promises-you-make-to-yourself-and-unless-you-pinky-swear-on-them-chances-are-you-will-not-keep-them!
According to usa.gov, the following resolutions are the most popular:
Lose Weight/Get Fit/Eat Right (I lump these all together)
Pay off Debt
Save Money
Get a Better Job
Get a Better Education
Drink Less Alcohol (after recovering from the Holiday Hangover)
Quit Smoking Now (right now or at least by the end of the year?)
Reduce Stress Overall
Take a Trip
Volunteer to Help Others
I actually agree with few of these and hopefully after reading this you haven't increased your own lists! But even if you don't have a list or find it difficult to keep all your resolutions, Simply Toleah has a cute little top with the one resolution everyone should keep for 2008: To Lead a Good Life

The shirt comes in 8 refreshing colors, at a very reasonable price. Get yours today and put a nice little spend on an otherwise depressing tradition, LOL!

Tagged!

I've been tagged by Elika who was tagged by Willow and here are the rules:

(1) Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
(2) People who are tagged need to write a post on their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules.
(3) At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people [Dang!] to get tagged and list their names.
(4) Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.

Silly Facts and Habits about little ole me:

(1) Typically when I go to any club or bar, the goofy dancing white guy that's had one too many drinks is drawn to me like a magnet. I always dance with him regardless because he cracks me up and because I already know that before the night is over he's gonna find me :o)

(2) I love reading, watching and hearing about celebrity gossip. I can't make it through the checkout line without eyeballing the latest tabloid. I can't go to bed at a decent hour without browsing Mediatakeout.com or TMZ, and I'm all about catching Hot off the wire on 93.9 WKYS! (Sad I know)

(3) I'm a ridiculous procrastinator and even though I know it, I still can't seem to make myself finish things on time unless they are hella important. This is due to the fact that I do my BEST work when I am under pressure...hmm, blame it on the military.

(4) I absolutely love to eat bread. My great-grandmother used to make these petite yeast roles called Angel Biscuits because they fold over like Angel wings and she'd bring them in a ziplock bag to church. I would make my way over to her and discreetly pop them in my mouth all service. She's blind now and in her 90's but I know if she could, she would still make me some. *I should really look for the recipe...*

(5) I peed on myself while working at my first job as a bookkeeper in a grocery store, lol! I was new and ended up working on a register for someone and had to go real bad, but my line was crazy long. I was finally able to close the lane and ran all the way to the back to pottie, but during the run I dribbled a little. (I said a little, nothing like Miss Fergie). Luckily my shift was over shortly after that, but the next day I learned there was a restroom right up front behind the big azz Budweiser display.

(6) I had my wisdom teeth taken out when I was in the 11th grade and the nurse assisting the doctor was the sister to this chick who I had just gotten into a fight with a few weeks earlier. We fought at school over some old stupid stuff and both got suspended and when I looked at the nurse she looked real familiar. She figured out who I was and told me just before they put me under. I started freaking out and told the doc that she was gonna kill me in my sleep. He made her promise not to as I counted backwards from 8. I passed out on like 6 and when I woke her face was the first one I saw. I started crying and apologizing for beating up her sister and when my mom drove me past my school I started banging on the window and tried to open the door....yeah drugs are bad and some towns are just too damn small!

(7) I broke my right ankle playing racketball and had to get a metal plate and eight screws. Luckily I was sent to an Air Force Base and got a doctor who was actually a podiatrist before she came into the military. Whew, no experimentation from some fresh out of college dork who joined after watching a cool episode of ER. Anyway, one of the screws worked it's way out and almost punctured the skin so I had to have it all removed. But I still have the scars.

(8) I can't stand bad azz children. Yes of course I understand that some kids have underlying issues so it's not their fault, but what about the sassy ones who's parents will back them up 100% even when they know the kid is wrong? Hmm, I take that back, I can't stand ignorant azz people who breed bad azz kids. These people should wear a collar aroung their necks and everytime their kid runs wild in a store, has a tantrum in a restaurant or disrespects an adult, they should get a nice shock to the throat. In due time they will start checkin' their kids before they annoy the rest of us.

So tagging 8 people is out, but I am gonna tag
Ella Sartre and Emmanuelle LaFollette. NOVA Girls!!!

Simply Toleah Grand Opening!

The day has finally come and I am so crazy excited!!!

Simply Toleah is now open on ETD Isle

I know many people have noticed the store all set up...ready to go...with an awesome sign...and nothing on the walls *cue the crickets* but I promise I was working behind the scenes :o)

Simply Toleah is owned and operated by me, Toleah Goodliffe. I was introduced to SL almost 3 years ago after being an avid player of The Sims and TSO. Trying to understand the basics of SL was a challenge and it took some time for me to get the hang of things. Fortunately, I have been blessed with the opportunity to meet, greet, and work for SL's best designers (my opinion!) and now I am ready to showcase my own creativity!

I am extremely happy with the pieces I have created so far and I yes, there are more to come:

In RL, I am a sailor in the US Navy, and my enlistment is slowly coming to a close so unfortunately I can't commit as much time as I would like to designing and creating. But, I'm truly looking forward to providing you the best quality fashion at great prices...Simply Toleah's Guarantee.

Happy Shopping!
